After advanced liver cancer causing hepatic encephalopathy is treated, it may have a survival period of 1 month, but the exact survival time should be analyzed with the condition.
Liver cancer is a malignant tumor caused by many factors, such as hepatitis virus and heredity. When the disease develops to the late stage, due to the serious damage of liver function, it is unable to remove the harmful substances in the blood and gradually accumulates in the brain, which can lead to the occurrence of hepatic encephalopathy. This in turn causes abnormal changes in behavior, mood, speech, sleep or mannerisms.
At this point, the liver cancer itself can be treated causally through interventions, radiotherapy and chemotherapy; it can also be treated causally through oxygenation, using lactulose enemas, and administering rehydration fluids to correct electrolyte disorders. After active treatment, the patient may have a survival period of 1 month.
