According to current statistics, the incidence of breast cancer is gradually increasing. The current statistics in China show that the prevalence of breast cancer is about 5 per 10,000 and is increasing at an annual rate of 9%. Breast cancer is a malignant tumor that can be easily cured. Early detection of breast cancer and timely surgery can not only achieve a cure, but also preserve the breast. At present, breast cancer surgery with breast preservation accounts for more than 50% in the United States, and breast cancer surgery with breast preservation ranges from 3-30% in China. Breast cancer surgery with breast preservation can achieve the same results as radical surgery and is mainly suitable for stage I and II patients. The earlier the surgery is performed, the better the results will be, and the key is early detection. At present, breast cancer screening methods include mammography, color Doppler, breast blood oxygen detection system and breast pressure screening devices. No matter which screening method is used, the early detection rate is mostly around 85%. Each method of examination has its unique advantages, and the key is to combine them in order to improve the diagnosis rate of early breast cancer. Our breast department has mammography machine, high frequency color Doppler, and minimally invasive biopsy system. In nearly 10 years of application, the detection rate of breast cancer is 2-4% and the confirmation rate of breast lumps is more than 95 in nearly 10,000 mammography examinations. In the past 2 years, we have adopted breast cancer surgery with breast preservation for patients with early stage breast cancer, and we have obtained ideal results in terms of surgical quality and cosmetic appearance. Combined with domestic and international statistics, it shows that breast cancer can be detected early and breast cancer surgery with breast preservation is feasible. Timely examination and early treatment can get rid of the physical and mental damage brought by breast malignancy to female patients, and breast-conserving surgery can return women’s perfect shape and happy life.
