It is bitter and cold in nature, with the effect of clearing heat and removing toxins, and can be used to treat carbuncles, swellings, sores and poisons caused by heat and toxin congestion. Chirimisuang enters the large intestine meridian, has the effect of clearing dampness and heat in the large intestine (the large intestine feels dampness and heat), and has therapeutic effects on dysentery with pus and blood (diarrhea with pus and blood in the feces), dampness and heat in the large intestine, abdominal pain and diarrhea, and urgency and heaviness in the bowels (discomfort in the lower abdomen, wanting to relieve the feces very much, and feeling of incomplete defecation after the bowel movement), and other symptoms.
