How high is cytokeratin 19 dangerous?

Cytokeratin 19 fragment >3.3ng/ml is considered abnormal; >30ng/ml is more dangerous and the presence of non-small cell lung cancer is highly likely.
The normal value of cytokeratin 19 fragment is 0~3.3ng/ml, >3.3ng/ml is elevated. Cytokeratin 19 fragment, also known as CYFRA21-1, is found in organs rich in epithelial tissue, such as the breast, lungs, intestines, uterus, etc., and CYFRA21-1 is elevated when benign and malignant lesions occur in these organs.
Therefore, elevated CYFRA21-1 may be associated with benign diseases such as pneumonia, tuberculosis, mastitis, cystitis, etc., or malignant tumors such as non-small cell lung cancer of the lungs, breast cancer, colorectal cancer, and bladder cancer.
Generally, CYFRA21-1 is mildly elevated in benign diseases, not more than 10 ng/ml, while in malignant tumors the degree of CYFRA21-1 elevation is related to the volume and stage of the cancer, >30 ng/ml suggests that there is a very high likelihood of suffering from bronchopulmonary cancer.
It is recommended that people with abnormal CYFRA21-1 values should consult a doctor in time, even if the increase is mild, there is a certain possibility that it is caused by cancer, and should follow the doctor’s instructions for examination and active treatment.
