Yuketin, also known as levonorgestrel tablets, should not be taken by women over the age of 40.
The contraceptive mechanism of levonorgestrel tablets is to release a large amount of progesterone to inhibit the implantation of a pregnant egg. The instructions explicitly state that it is forbidden for women over 40 years of age, and emergency contraceptive pills are not recommended for such women.
