There is no such thing as the best cure for reflux esophagitis, and commonly used treatments include general treatment, medication, endoscopic treatment, and surgery. Reflux esophagitis is a disease caused by the reflux of gastric contents into the esophagus, which is mainly characterized by retrosternal discomfort, acid reflux, heartburn and reflux. Due to individual differences, there is no so-called optimal cure. At present, the commonly used treatments are general treatment, drug treatment, endoscopic treatment and surgical treatment, and the purpose of treatment is to alleviate the symptoms, cure the disease and prevent recurrence. 1. General treatment: obese people should lower their weight and raise the head of the bed when sleeping; stop eating three hours before going to bed, quit smoking and drinking; avoid increasing abdominal pressure. 2. Drug treatment: (1) acid inhibitors: such as proton pump inhibitor rabeprazole, can inhibit gastric acid secretion, note that long-term use of this product can lead to benign gastric polyps. (2) pro-dynamic drugs: such as domperidone tablets, can promote gastric emptying, note that moderate to severe hepatic insufficiency patients are prohibited. (3) Mucosal protective agents: such as aluminum sulfate gel, can protect the mucosa of the digestive tract and reduce the damage. (3) Endoscopic treatment: For patients with moderate or severe disease who are ineffective in internal medicine treatment, or with esophageal ulcers and bleeding, endoscopic treatment can be done, including ablation, argon ion laser coagulation, and so on. 4. Surgical treatment: Surgical treatment, such as laparoscopic fundoplication, can be done for those who have good surgical conditions and cannot stop medication to control reflux better than medication. Reflux esophagitis should be treated under the guidance of a physician, not self-medication, to avoid adverse consequences.
