Simple tear duct probing can be performed directly in the outpatient clinic without hospitalization, but percutaneous dacryocystorhinopharyngeal anastomosis, transnasal endoscopic dacryocystorhinopharyngeal anastomosis and other operations are more complicated and usually require hospitalization. 1. Simple Lacrimal Tract Prospecting: If the patient has completed the relevant examinations, excluded relevant contraindications to surgery and only needs simple lacrimal tract prospecting, because the operation is relatively simple, it can be operated directly in the outpatient clinic and does not require hospitalization. 2. Complex surgery: some patients need percutaneous lacrimal sac nasopharyngeal anastomosis under general anesthesia, transnasal endoscopic lacrimal sac nasopharyngeal anastomosis and other surgical treatments, because of the complexity of the operation, usually require hospitalization. It is recommended that patients with lacrimal obstruction should consult a doctor in a timely manner to assess their condition and follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment.
