What is the meaning of cervical retroflexion

Cervical retrolisthesis is also called cervical retroflexion, a change in the physiological curvature of the cervical spine. The cervical spine is made up of seven vertebrae arranged in such a way that the vertebrae are connected to each other by cartilage, joints, ligaments and other tissues. When the head is kept upright in the middle, with the line of sight parallel to the ground and without lowering or raising the head, the normal cervical spine form has a certain degree of curvature. From the second cervical vertebra to the fourth cervical vertebra, which is also the most forward positioned of the seven cervical vertebrae, and from the fifth cervical vertebra to the back, so that the cervical vertebrae as a whole form a positive bow and arrow shape. If you often work with your head down, or usually rest with your head and neck cushioned, or use computers, cell phones, or drive for long periods of time, the physiological curvature of the cervical spine will temporarily disappear. If these bad habits occur every day and for a long time, it will lead to a change in the forward arch shape of the cervical spine, so that the bend disappears and then develops into a reverse arch shape, that is, the middle of the cervical spine protrudes backwards and deforms, and this condition is called cervical hyperflexia.
