Thyroid nodule, can metastasis be seen by ultrasound?

Thyroid nodule, usually do neck ultrasound, through the ultrasound is able to see in the thyroid near the metastasis, but distant metastasis should be evaluated by CT, MRI and other imaging tests. Ultrasound of the neck is an important test for diagnosing thyroid disease. If patients with thyroid nodules present with enlarged surrounding lymph nodes, they need to suspect the occurrence of lymph node metastasis, which can be detected by ultrasound. For distant metastasis, ultrasound of the neck alone cannot determine this and needs to be evaluated in conjunction with other imaging methods such as CT and MRI. Patients with thyroid nodules are advised to visit a hospital for regular follow-up.
