Prevention of cardiovascular disease in autumn and winter

Every year, around November and New Year’s Day, is the high incidence of cardiovascular diseases. The reason for this is that the sudden drop in temperature causes vasoconstriction and increased blood viscosity, and the dry northern climate also tends to increase blood viscosity. At the same time, there are studies that prove that cardiovascular diseases are strongly related to the occurrence of inflammation, and the increase of people with colds (caused by bacterial infections) due to sudden climate changes in recent times is an important reason for the high incidence of cardiovascular diseases. How to prevent it? The reason is that in the morning people’s sympathetic excitement and adrenaline secretion increases, which is the peak of cardiovascular disease incidence in a day. Get up too early to exercise, cold air stimulates vasoconstriction, further strengthening the possibility of morbidity. Medical evidence shows that if the infarction is removed within 3 hours through surgery or drugs, the myocardium in the ischemic area will basically not undergo necrosis and the prognosis is relatively good. However, once more than 3 to 4 hours have passed, myocardial necrosis will occur, which is difficult to reverse even through drugs or surgery. Therefore, once the symptoms of chest pain and chest tightness appear, you should take nitroglycerin and other drugs in time, and if they are not relieved after 5 to 10 minutes, you should go to the hospital in time. In addition, cardiovascular patients should maintain emotional stability to avoid excessive excitement or sulking that leads to increased adrenaline secretion and induces disease. In a heated room, the door should be opened at the door before going out to adapt to avoid the cold air stimulating the blood vessels and causing cardiovascular accidents when going out directly. Because the cold climate in winter is prone to stroke, it is more important to measure blood pressure carefully and pay attention to changes in blood pressure. It is best for the elderly to take their blood pressure every day to fully grasp the blood pressure situation in order to avoid elevated blood pressure, so as to achieve “stable pressure reduction, prepare for 24 hours”. Regular follow-up examinations are required to keep an eye on changes in the condition so that symptoms can be detected and medical attention can be sought in a timely manner. If the initial symptoms of hypertension, such as memory loss, numbness of the limbs, dizziness, headache, weakness, chest tightness, palpitations, etc. occur, take immediate action. Patients with cardiovascular disease should use medication reasonably under the guidance of a doctor, and should not stop taking medication at will. Insisting on taking medication for coronary heart disease or hypertension is the key to preventing disease attacks. In addition to active prevention and drug treatment, the elderly should also pay attention to winter health and do the following “three things”. First, diet regimen. Winter diet is based on foods that regulate acid-base balance and foods with high calorie content, such as black fungus, silver fungus, mushrooms, etc., to control the acid-base level of blood in the body. Take a light diet, such as garlic, tomatoes, fungus, fruit, fresh milk, tofu, etc., which have a role in lowering blood lipids. Second, exercise to strengthen the body. As the saying goes, “winter move a move, less a disease; winter lazy a lazy, drink more medicine a bowl.” It has been proven that the winter more involved in outdoor activities, the body slightly sweating, so that the body’s toxin substances out of the body, beneficial to health. Strengthen exercise, increase the adaptability to the cold, to avoid getting cold. Third, the spirit of conditioning. To pay attention to the spirit of quiet outside, but also learn to regulate the bad mood in a timely manner. The elderly are prone to mood disorders in winter, and the way to prevent them is to get more sunlight to extend the time of light, sunlight can increase the body’s physiological hormones and help control emotions. Special reminder: in this cold winter, the elderly also need to do a regular diet; know cold and hot, keep the body at a constant temperature; avoid mental tension and emotional excitement; pay attention to the combination of work and rest, appropriate to increase physical activity, to avoid disease, to achieve a long life.
