Difference between normal breast tissue and a breast lump

The difference between normal breast tissue and a breast lump can be differentiated by palpation and ultrasound. On palpation, normal tissue is smooth and elastic, while a lump is less mobile than normal tissue. ultrasound examination shows normal blood flow in normal tissue, while a lump may have calcification. 1. Palpation: normal breast tissue is soft and elastic; if it is a benign lump, it may be hard or painful; if it is a malignant lump, it may have reduced mobility and unclear boundary with the surrounding. 2. Ultrasound examination: normal breast tissue shows normal performance under ultrasound, with no abnormal echoes and nodules; benign breast lumps may suggest echogenic enhancement; malignant breast lumps may suggest high echogenicity, uneven size, rich blood flow, and even accompanied by enlarged peripheral lymph nodes. Whether a breast lump is painful or painless, you should seek medical attention to avoid delaying your condition.
