Cervical disc herniation generally refers to cervical disc herniation. Whether dural sac compression can be cured needs to be judged according to the condition; mild dural sac compression can generally be cured by active treatment, but may not be cured if it is severely compressed. For mild dural sac compression, the nerve compression is not serious, if the protruding nucleus pulposus can be surgically removed, the nerve compression can be relieved in time, and the nerve function can be restored, then it can be cured. In severe dural sac compression, necrosis of the spinal cord may occur and nerve compression may be severe. Even if surgical methods are used to remove the protruding nucleus pulposus tissue and relieve nerve compression, the necrosis cannot be reversed and nerve function cannot be restored. It is possible to relieve the compression of the spinal cord through aggressive surgical removal of the disc and vertebrae and save some of the nerve function to a certain extent. It is recommended that patients with cervical disc herniation with dural sac compression follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment to avoid delay.
