The bone at the base of the thigh belongs to the femoral neck or the head of the femur. If there is pain and discomfort in this location, there may be femoral head necrosis or degenerative osteoarthritis. If there is a trauma, there may be a fracture of the femoral neck. You can initially determine whether there is any obvious abnormality of the bone at the root of the thigh through local X-ray examination, and then do the corresponding treatment according to the results of the examination. If it is a femoral head necrosis, a mild one can be treated conservatively, such as blood activating drugs and pain relieving capsules. For more serious cases of femoral head necrosis, surgical treatment, such as joint replacement, should be considered. Pay attention to personal habits, avoid smoking and drinking as much as possible to help reduce the probability of femoral head necrosis, and pay attention to rest and avoid overexertion.
