The word “facelift” is actually a folkloric term, a very graphic explanation of the face lift, the professional term we call “face lift”. There are many categories of face lifting, such as small incision lifting, fascial lifting, fascial folding, full peeling of the fascia excision, mini facelift, small facelift, large facelift, micro-lift, thread sculpture and so on. The difference between a fascial suspension and a facelift is actually the different treatments we emphasize. Fascial suspension, refers to a linear suture that lifts the fascia upward and hangs onto the temporal fascia to achieve a face lift, which is a very minimally invasive procedure, and we often call it a mini mini facelift. The facelift we often talk about has a relatively large incision to remove or fold the facial fascia before lifting the facial skin, so this procedure tends to be a bit larger than fascial suspension. Of course which is better is actually the best for you, it depends on how much your face has aged, how receptive you are to trauma, and there is no one way that works for everyone.
