How to regulate anemia to make up for it



The management of anemia includes daily care, dietary supplements, medicinal supplements, blood transfusion and so on.

1. Daily care: anemia patients’ immunity is lowered, and their resistance to all kinds of bacteria is reduced, so they should pay attention to environmental and personal hygiene, keep the room clean, disinfect the air every day, and keep the mouth clean and anal hygiene.

2. Dietary supplements: patients with mild iron deficiency anemia or megaloblastic anemia can be improved through diet; consume more food containing protein, iron, folic acid and B12, such as lean meat, fish, eggs, milk, soybean products, blood products, liver, green leafy vegetables, fruits and so on.

3. Medicinal supplements: iron deficiency anemia can be taken orally as iron dextrose, ferrous sulfate; megaloblastic anemia can be taken orally as folic acid, vitamin B12, etc., and should be used under the guidance of a physician.

4. Blood transfusion: chronic anemia, hemoglobin amount is less than 60g/L, or acute anemia, hematocrit is less than 0.2 can be transfused, rapid correction of anemia.

There are more causes of anemia, such as chronic blood loss, malnutrition, tumor depletion, acute infection, traumatic bleeding, etc.; patients with anemia should go to the hospital to find out the cause of the anemia and have targeted treatment.
