The difference between sterilized water and alcohol is in terms of composition, mechanism and application.
1. Composition: the main component of disinfectant water is sodium hypochlorite, while the main component of alcohol is alcohol at a concentration of 75%.
2. Mechanism: disinfectant water is through the redox reaction between hypochlorite and microbial surface to make the bacteria rupture; alcohol is to make the bacterial protein dehydration and denaturation caused by bacterial cleavage and death.
3. Application: disinfectant water is mainly used in the object surface and indoor ground disinfection, need to pay attention to disinfectant water may cause the clothing to be bleached, disinfectant water can not be disinfected skin; and alcohol in addition to the object surface disinfection can also be used for unbroken skin disinfection, the use of alcohol need to stay away from sources of ignition.
