The five-year survival rate of stage IIIB gastric cancer after total gastrectomy and other treatments is about 40%~50%, which can vary. Gastric cancer is a malignant tumor caused by Helicobacter pylori infection, heredity and other factors. Stage ⅢB represents cancer cells infiltrating into the plasma membrane layer; more than 7 lymph nodes metastasis; no distant metastasis and other conditions. In this period, total gastrectomy, radiotherapy and chemotherapy can be performed according to the patient’s condition. After active treatment, patients in this period of time can often obtain a five-year survival rate of about 40%~50%. After surgery, patients should follow the doctor’s instructions for regular checkups; appropriate exercise and good attitude in daily life can effectively minimize recurrence and prolong the survival time.
