How to regulate children’s night sweats and spleen deficiency

Children with night sweating (abnormal sweating after going to sleep and stopping sweating after waking up) and spleen deficiency should be treated by strengthening the spleen, tonifying the blood, and nourishing the yin to stop sweating. The medicines can be added or subtracted according to the symptoms, and the commonly used prescriptions are like Spleen Soup, Angelica Sinensis Six Yellow Soup, Jade Screen Fung San, and Sheng Vein San. Night sweating is often seen in deficiency of heart and spleen, deficiency of yin and fire, and deficiency of qi and yin. Symptoms include sweating during sleep and stopping after waking up, with little sleep and dreaming, forgetfulness, palpitation and dizziness, fatigue (mental exhaustion and physical weakness), pale face, pale lips, white moss, and thin and feeble pulse; add subtractions with Gui Spleen Tang. Symptoms: night sweating, five heart-heat (heat in the heart of the hands and feet, and self-consciousness of heat in the heart and chest), flushing of the cheekbones, disturbed sleeplessness, emaciation, thirst, red tongue with little moss, and thin pulse (pulse becomes narrow and thin and accelerates in rate), add and subtract Angelica Sinensis Six Horns Soup. Night sweating, spontaneous sweating (involuntary sweating during the day, aggravated by sweating with slight movement), fear of wind and cold, recurrent colds, weakness, poor appetite, dullness (lack of appetite, decreased food intake), poor appetite, pale tongue, white moss, weak pulse. Use Sheng Vein San to add and subtract.
