What should you pay attention to in order to prevent stomach cancer?

According to some data, about 170,000 people die from stomach cancer in China every year, which is almost 1/4 of all malignant tumor deaths, and there are more than 20,000 new cases every year. These data always remind us to be alert to this disease that seriously threatens people’s health – stomach cancer. So, what are the factors related to the occurrence of stomach cancer? It is also related to the daily life style, especially the eating habits. The incidence rate of stomach cancer in China is higher than other countries China is a big country of stomach cancer, about 60% of the annual stomach cancer patients in the world are Chinese people, so the incidence rate is still relatively high. Yu Jiang, deputy chief physician, told Family Doctor Online editors that in terms of cancer incidence and mortality, the ranking of stomach cancer has dropped from the first to the second place, which shows that the situation has improved, but overall, it is still not optimistic. Deputy Chief Physician Yu Jiang said that although Japan and South Korea are also countries with high incidence of gastric cancer, most of the patients with gastric cancer in these two countries are early stage patients, while most of the patients with gastric cancer detected in China are in the progressive stage, that is, middle or late stage, in which early stage patients account for less than 20% of all patients with gastric cancer in China, so there is still a long way to go for gastric cancer prevention and treatment in our country. There are three reasons for the increase of young gastric cancer patients From clinical cases, most gastric cancer patients are 40-60 years old, but nowadays, there are many young gastric cancer patients who come to the hospital for examination, does this mean that there is a trend of gastric cancer becoming younger? What factors are related to the development of gastric cancer? According to Deputy Chief Physician Yu Jiang, the causative factors of gastric cancer are mainly divided into two aspects: internal factors are mainly genetic factors, which have certain genetic tendency, such as if someone in the immediate family has gastric cancer, the chance of gastric cancer is higher than that of ordinary people; external factors are mainly physical and chemical factors and biological factors. Physicochemical factors are mainly eating foods that are too hot, too cold, pickled, smoked and high in salt. The high incidence of gastric cancer in Chaoshan region of Fujian and Guangdong is mainly related to their love of eating pickled foods and fish. Biological factors are mainly related to H. pylori infection, therefore, if infected with H. pylori, it also needs to be treated actively. As to whether there is a trend of younger gastric cancer, Dr. Yu Jiang, deputy chief physician, said that it is one-sided to judge the younger gastric cancer simply from individual hospital cases, but there is indeed an increasing trend of younger gastric cancer patients in hospitals nowadays, and the main reason may be related to the improvement of diagnostic technology and unhealthy lifestyle of young people. In order to prevent stomach cancer, we should pay attention to our lifestyle, pay attention to less late night, less late night snacking, especially less high-salt, fried, pickled and barbecued food, etc.
