General health care for patients with uveitis

With the exception of infection-related uveitis, most non-infectious uveitis has no clear cause, but fatigue, colds, or psychological stress often trigger a recurrence of uveitis, especially in patients treated with long-term hormones and immunosuppressive drugs, who also have reduced body resistance, so patients should avoid overexertion, exercise moderately, prevent colds, and maintain a healthy and optimistic mental state. Non-infectious uveitis: It is caused by a disorder of the immune system in the body, not by a low immune system as many people believe. We use hormones and immunosuppressants to suppress the excessive immune response in the body, so in principle, patients should not take all kinds of supplements and health products on their own to boost their immune system without a doctor’s advice. These drugs can also cause side effects such as elevated blood lipids, and excessive supplementation can only be harmful. Individuals with uveitis are sensitive to alcohol and other spicy stimulating foods, which can lead to aggravation or recurrence of uveitis, and such sensitive patients should avoid these stimulating foods as much as possible.
