Professor Xue vividly illustrated the wonders of the ovary from two aspects: the application of Clarity technique to study the three-dimensional structure inside the ovary; and the stimulation of initial follicle initiation by enhancing AKT channels through in vitro administration of drugs to the ovary – i.e. in vitro follicle activation. The study suggests that in some patients with disease or age-related menopause, immature follicles remain in the ovary; after in vitro activation, they may mature and become pregnant.
