Can creatinine 100 μmol/L heal itself?

Whether creatinine 100μmol/L can be cured by itself usually depends on the cause of the elevation. If it is caused by physiological reasons such as high muscle mass or eating more meat, it may be cured after adjusting lifestyle; if it is caused by pathologic reasons such as acute kidney injury or chronic renal insufficiency, it needs prompt treatment and may not be cured. Normal serum creatinine ranges from 53 to 106 μmol/L in men and 44 to 97 μmol/L in women, and creatinine of 100 μmol/L is close to the upper limit of normal or mildly elevated. The increase can be due to physiologic or pathologic reasons. 1. Physiological reasons: some of the creatinine increase is caused by the patient’s high muscle content or eating more meat and exercising more, if there is no abnormality in urine routine and ultrasound of the urinary system and other related examinations, and it is clear that there is no obvious disease of the kidney, and after adjusting the lifestyle, the creatinine can be gradually returned to normal. 2. Pathological causes: such as acute kidney injury or chronic renal insufficiency resulting in a mild increase in creatinine, usually need to treat the cause, timely lifting of influencing factors, and active treatment of the primary disease, usually can not be self-cured. If patients find creatinine increase, it is recommended to go to regular hospitals in time, improve the examination to clarify the cause of the disease, and then give targeted treatment or therapy under the guidance of the doctor.
