Coriander is a laxative, the dried flower buds of Coriandrum sativum, family Ruixiang. It is bitter, pungent, warm and poisonous in nature, and belongs to the lung, spleen and kidney meridians. It has the efficacy of diarrhea and drainage (discharging water-dampness in the body by means of diarrhea) when taken internally, and of killing worms and healing sores when used externally. It is mainly used for the treatment of edema and fullness, chest and abdominal fluid, phlegm and drink (pathological products formed by water metabolism disorders) accumulation, rebellious coughing and asthma, and unfavorable bowel movements; and the external treatment of scabies and bald sores, carbuncles, and frostbite. Therefore coriander can not treat cancer. Adverse effects of this product is not clear, because coriander is a laxative, toxic, prohibited in pregnant women, weak. Licorice is against coriander in the eighteen antidotes of traditional Chinese medicine, and should not be used together with formulas containing licorice. Cancer patients need to go to a regular hospital for treatment under the guidance of a doctor, do not blindly take drugs, damage the body and aggravate the condition.
