Ginger can be used in combination with other medicines to dispel cold and dampness. In summer, ginger can be used under the guidance of a physician according to the body type.
Ginger is effective in relieving cold (removing cold from the muscle surface), relieving fish and crab poisoning, relieving cough and phlegm, warming the spleen and stomach to stop vomiting (warming the spleen and stomach to treat vomiting caused by gastric cold), and can be used for wind-cold cold, gastric cold and vomiting, cold phlegm and coughing, fish and crab poisoning, etc. It is not recommended for people with Yin deficiency and internal heat, or those with solid heat. It is not to be used for those with Yin deficiency and internal heat, or those with actual heat.
If there is a need to dispel cold qi or dampness, one may use the formula with ginger. If you want to get rid of cold, you can use Astragalus Jianzhong Tang which warms the middle and replenishes the qi, Gui Zhi Tang which relieves the muscle and releases it (sweating is used to make the evil qi trapped on the surface of the muscle to go out), and so on; to get rid of dampness, you can use Zhenwu Tang which warms yang and benefits water (replenishes yang in the body and promotes the circulation of water and liquid), Wupisan which helps to relieve fluid retention and swelling, and so on.
In summer, patients can use ginger under the guidance of doctors according to their own conditions, and it is not recommended to apply it by oneself in order to avoid causing damage to the body.
