According to the instruction of Sishen Tablet, there is no statement that it is contraindicated for pregnant women. Therefore, pregnant women can take Si Shen Tablets if they have symptoms such as intestinal tinnitus and abdominal distension, and five loose diarrhea. Si Shen Tablet is composed of nutmeg, prepared Cornu Cervi Pantotrichum, salt tonic and vinegar schizandra. It has the efficacy of warming the kidney and dispersing cold (warming the kidneys and dispelling cold), astringing the intestines and stopping diarrhea (relieving diarrhea by enhancing the function of intestinal astringency). It is used in treating diarrhea caused by deficiency of kidney yang (lack of yang qi in the kidneys), with symptoms such as ringing of the intestines and abdominal distension, loose bowels at the fifth day of the week, food not being transformed, prolonged diarrhea, yellowish face and cold limbs, and so on. It should be noted that, when taking this medicine, avoid cold and greasy food. Pregnant women may take it according to their own conditions and under the guidance of a doctor.
