Is impaired consciousness a coma?

Dysarthria includes coma, and dysarthria is categorized as drowsiness, lethargy, and stupor.
Dyscalculia is mainly an altered state of consciousness of the patient, which includes aspects of drowsiness, lethargy, and coma.
Drowsiness is a milder disorder of consciousness, at the onset of which the patient experiences persistent sleep, wakes up with mild stimulation, can answer questions briefly, and then falls back to sleep.
Drowsiness is more serious than somnolence. At the onset, the patient can open his/her eyes with strong stimulation, answer questions after opening his/her eyes, and fall back to sleep immediately after the stimulation stops.
Coma refers to the patient’s loss of consciousness, any pain and verbal stimulation can not wake up the patient, which includes light coma, moderate coma, deep coma and so on.
Shallow coma is mainly characterized by pain response to severe stimulation, and the patient’s physiological reflexes exist; moderate coma is mainly characterized by weakened physiological reflexes compared with shallow coma; deep coma is characterized by unstable vital signs, and physiological reflexes and pathological reflexes have disappeared.
Whether it is a consciousness disorder or coma, it means that the patient’s condition is more serious, and should be timely to the hospital for treatment.
