What are the early warning signs of bone tumor?

In this day and age where cancer is talked about, bone tumors are even more frightening and enough to make normal people lose their mind. In fact, even bone tumor, if it can be detected in early stage and treated timely, the prognosis is not that bad. How can we determine bone tumor in early stage? Today, we will talk about some symptoms that can be shown in the early stage of bone tumor. First, local skin changes. Some malignant tumors are very rich in blood flow, and the local skin can show obvious increase of skin temperature, and some can even see obvious veins, i.e. superficial venous anger. Secondly, pain. For malignant bone tumors, the pain is mild and intermittent at the beginning, but will be persistent at the later stage, and the pain will be aggravated at night, and the faster the growth rate of the tumor, the more obvious the pain is; for some benign bone tumors, the pain can also be caused by the growth of the bone. Especially, for adolescents, if there is unexplained swelling and pain around the knee joint, they should pay enough attention to it and seek timely medical examination. Third, local swelling and masses. Most benign tumors are slow-growing masses with hard texture and clear boundaries with surrounding tissues, which are mostly found unintentionally if there is no obvious pain. Fourthly, joint movement disorder and neurological dysfunction. For bone tumors growing near joints, patients will have limited joint activities due to pain and swelling. For bone tumors growing on the spine, when the tumor invades the spinal cord and nerves, it will lead to abnormal sensation and movement of limbs, and in severe cases, it may lead to paralysis. At the later stage of bone tumor, patients may experience systemic symptoms. For example, loss of appetite, emaciation, anemia, weight loss, fever and other symptoms. In addition, because the bone tumor eats away the normal “bone”, a minor trauma can cause pathological fracture. If patients have the above symptoms, they should be highly alert to the occurrence of bone tumor, rather believe it than not, and go to the regular hospital for related examination in time to avoid delaying the disease. Especially for those teenagers who have pain and swelling around the knee joint without any obvious reason or minor trauma, do not misunderstand the so-called sprain or growing pain and apply some ointment by yourself, thus delaying the best treatment of malignant bone tumor. Still, bone tumor is not terrible, early detection and early treatment is the key.
