Long-term use of glucocorticoids can cause the following adverse effects: i. Causes medically induced cortisolism, similar to the manifestation of Cushing’s syndrome. ii. Can induce and aggravate gastric ulcers, with complications such as bleeding and perforation. Third, it can promote and aggravate and mask tuberculosis, septic and fungal infections. IV. The appearance of euphoric and agitated mental symptoms. V. It can promote blood clotting and predispose to thrombophlebitis. Sixth, it can cause poor wound healing. Causes diabetes or abnormal glucose tolerance. Long-term use of large doses of glucocorticoids can also cause aseptic necrosis of bone, muscle atrophy and osteoporosis and other adverse effects.
