Most of the back pain caused by lung cancer is centered on the shoulder blade area bilaterally. Most of the pain caused by lung cancer is distributed in the back and lumbar back. If the growth site of lung tumor is located in the chest cavity and bilateral scapula and directly invades the pleura, the tumor will directly press the surrounding blood vessels and nerves, thus causing back pain in the scapula area. The pain caused by lung cancer tumor is usually long-term chronic dull pain, which will gradually worsen with the increase of tumor volume. When back pain is caused by tumor growth or local compression, it is a more serious tumor phenomenon and needs to be treated as early as possible. For patients with surgical indications, surgical resection is recommended, followed by radiotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy and so on. If the pain is more intense, pain relieving drugs can also be used to relieve pain effectively. Lung cancer patients with abnormal back pain should consult doctor in time and receive standardized treatment under doctor’s guidance.
