How to read the cardiac monitor

Cardiac monitor has more functions, mainly can indicate the patient’s heart rhythm and heart rate, respiration, blood pressure, oxygen saturation and other indicators.
1. Heart Rhythm and Heart Rate: Generally located at the top of the monitor, the left curve is the ECG curve, which can observe the patient’s heartbeat in real time and indicate whether there is arrhythmia or not; the value in the upper-right corner is the value of the heart rate, and the normal range of the heart rate is from 60 to 100 beats per minute, which is higher than or lower than this indicator will initiate an alarm.
2. Respiration: generally located at the bottom, including respiratory curve and respiratory values, the normal respiratory rate of 12 to 20 times / min, can be used to observe abnormal respiratory status, timely detection of respiratory acid-base balance disorders.
3. Blood pressure: located in the center right of the monitor, the normal blood pressure value is 90 to 139mmHg systolic, 60 to 89mmHg diastolic.
4. Oxygen saturation: used to monitor the patient’s respiratory and circulatory system abnormalities.
Cardiac monitor is often used to monitor the life condition of patients with severe diseases, if the prompt value is abnormal, it should be corrected in time so as not to affect the patient’s life and health.
