How many days to be discharged from open ectopic pregnancy surgery

Open ectopic pregnancy surgery can usually be discharged from the hospital in a week.
Ectopic pregnancy surgery can be performed using both open and laparoscopic surgery, with laparoscopic surgery having the advantage of shorter hospitalization days and faster post-operative recovery. Laparoscopic surgery has a smaller wound and can usually be discharged in 4-5 days. Generally, open surgery wounds are larger and take longer to heal, requiring a one-week hospitalization and discharge.
Open laparotomy for ectopic pregnancy is mostly used for those whose vital signs are unstable and who need to enter the abdomen quickly to stop bleeding and complete the surgery. There are two types of surgeries: conservative and radical. Conservative surgery requires the preservation of the affected fallopian tube and may result in a persistent ectopic pregnancy that requires close monitoring of the blood levels of human chorionic gonadotropin (HGG) after the surgery. Radical surgery requires removal of the affected tube.
