Treatment for fractures of the lower back

There are two main types of treatment for lumbar fractures as follows: First, conservative treatment. This type of treatment is suitable for relatively minor and simple fractures, such as those involving only accessory fractures such as the spinous process and transverse process of the lumbar spine, or those with compression fractures of the lumbar spine, but the degree of compression is very mild, below 1/2, and there is no occupancy in the spinal canal, and these cases can be treated conservatively. Conservative treatment requires strict bed rest, braking, rest, and the use of anti-inflammatory, anti-swelling, pain-relieving, and fracture-healing drugs to treat the fracture, and the duration of bed rest generally ranges from 2-4 weeks. Second, surgical treatment. Surgery is mainly for serious injuries or complex fractures, such as severe vertebral compression fractures, intracanalicular occupancy or arch root fracture, causing a decrease in the stability of the entire spinal column, these cases need to do surgery as soon as possible to perform incision and internal fixation treatment.
