Is IgA Nephropathy Grade IV serious?

Whether IgA Nephropathy Grade IV is serious or not mainly depends on the severity of the disease and its treatment effect, and cannot be generalized.
According to Lee’s classification, IgA nephropathy can be categorized into grade V. In IgA nephropathy grade IV, glomerular lesions can be seen as severe diffuse thylakoid proliferation, accompanied by sclerosis, partial or total glomerulosclerosis, and crescents can be seen (<45%); tubular interstitium can be seen as tubular atrophy, interstitial infiltration, and occasional interstitial foam cells.
If the patient’s condition is mild, the progression of renal disease can be delayed by active and effective treatment, which is relatively less serious at this time. If the condition is serious and the treatment effect is not good, with the progress of the disease, it may develop into uremia, which is more serious at this time.
Patients with IgA nephropathy are advised to go to regular hospitals in time and receive standardized treatment under the guidance of doctors.
