Treatment of posterior lateral tibial plateau fractures

The treatment of posterior lateral plateau fracture has been a clinical problem because of the difficulty of exposure and fibula obscuration, the conventional anterolateral approach to posterior lateral plateau fracture cannot be directly repositioned and fixed, in the past 2 years I have used the lateral fibular head osteotomy approach to treat more than 20 cases of this type of fracture, today I received an invitation from the director of the Department of Orthopaedics of Tongcheng County People’s Hospital, Yi Songmin to complete another case, the repositioning is perfect, very pleased. In retrospect, during my study in Hannover, Germany in 2005, German doctors often did this approach to treat tibial plateau fractures, and I was a bit puzzled at that time, but I realized the indications and importance of this approach 6 years later after returning to China.
