What is nipple shadow

Papillomatous shadow refers to a round-like shadow of increased density that can be seen in the position of bilateral nipples when taking a chest radiograph, which is the normal state and can be seen in normal people, especially women, and may not be obvious in men. When a chest radiograph is taken, you can see patchy shadows in the lungs extending over the trachea and bronchial tree with exudative shadows, and imaging changes such as nodules in the lungs. In the case of lung infection, the patchy shadow of the lung can be seen. In the case of bacterial pneumonia, patchy shadows are seen more often. If it is a viral pneumonia, you may see more of a ground glass shadow in the lungs. In the case of mycoplasma and chlamydia, the initial manifestation of bronchopneumonia is often seen, that is, the shadow of exudation along the trachea and bronchi is relatively more common. In the case of tuberculosis, a patchy shadow of the upper lung or the dorsal segment of the lower lobe is seen.
