Vertigo: Vertigo is a very common symptom in daily life, almost everyone has experienced dizziness, but the causes of vertigo are so varied that it is difficult to distinguish what causes the symptoms of vertigo. Most of the symptoms of vertigo are dizziness, unsteadiness, nausea, vomiting, tinnitus, deafness, etc. Vertigo is divided into systemic vertigo and non-systemic vertigo, where the system is the vestibular system, which is the organ that controls the balance of the body. Systemic vertigo is divided into central vertigo and peripheral vertigo, and peripheral vertigo symptoms are generally more severe than central vertigo. There are many causes of vertigo, and here are some of the most common diseases: 1. Benign positional vertigo: It is caused by intra-auricular lesions, when calcium carbonate crystals attached to the ellipsoidal cystic plaque are dislodged into the semicircular canal, which can cause severe dizziness, visual rotation, nausea and vomiting. 2, Meniere’s disease: manifested as episodes of dizziness, visual rotation, nausea and vomiting, tinnitus, hearing impairment, may be relieved after a few hours or days, the symptoms are heavy, and medication is required in severe cases. 3. Patients with vestibular neuritis, after respiratory or gastrointestinal tract infections, have sudden onset of vertigo at night when they wake up, reaching a peak in a few hours, accompanied by nausea and vomiting, which can last for several days or weeks, and then gradually return to normal. In the elderly, recovery is slow and can take up to several months. Most of the cases occur in one ear, but occasionally both ears are affected successively. There is spontaneous paralytic nystagmus to the healthy side, and several people in the family may be affected. The disease is characterized by the absence of tinnitus and deafness during the disease. There are also cases of vertigo caused by anemia, hypertension, cervical spondylosis, blood disorders, cerebrovascular disease, and neurological disorders. Due to the complexity of the disease diagnosis, it is necessary to go to a regular hospital when the above symptoms appear and are more serious.
