Can you eat prunes with gastro-sinusitis?

Patients with gastric sinusitis should not consume prunes if they are in the acute stage, but can consume them in moderation in the non-acute stage. Gastric sinusitis patients can be categorized into acute stage and non-acute stage according to symptoms, gastroscopy and pathological examination structure. Acute patients have acid reflux, stomach distension, stomach pain and other symptoms, while non-acute patients can be no discomfort symptoms. Prunes are rich in vitamins and dietary fiber, which can promote gastrointestinal peristalsis and increase gastric acid secretion. Consumption of prunes in the acute stage may aggravate the symptoms of gastric discomfort, and therefore should be prohibited. Non-acute patients can eat prunes, but should pay attention to the right amount, to avoid eating too much, resulting in increased secretion of gastric acid. Patients with gastro-sinusitis are advised to consult a medical professional if they can consume prunes.
