Asymptomatic neocoronavirus infections are defined as those without associated clinical symptoms, but with positive neocoronavirus pathogenetic tests on respiratory and other specimens. Confirmed cases of neocoronavirus have associated clinical symptoms and a positive pathogenicity test. The main difference between asymptomatic infections with no associated clinical symptoms and confirmed cases with clear signs of discomfort is self-perceived or clinically recognizable signs and symptoms such as fever, cough, and sore throat. It is important to note that although asymptomatic infected persons do not have clear clinical symptoms, there is a risk of transmission. Once an asymptomatic infected person is found, strict centralized isolation and medical observation are required, and no special treatment is usually needed. Confirmed cases require symptomatic treatment based on disease manifestations.
