Causes of Renal Parenchymal Echo Enhancement

Echo enhancement of renal parenchyma is the term of ultrasound examination, which refers to a typical manifestation under renal ultrasound when kidney lesions occur, and is commonly seen in the following two situations: 1. When the kidney itself is inflamed due to infection, the local blood vessels of the kidney dilate and blood flow increases, which will result in echo enhancement of the lesion under ultrasound; 2. When there is chronic kidney disease, due to interstitial fibrosis and degeneration of normal kidney units, atrophy or even solid change, which results in echo enhancement of renal parenchyma under ultrasound, suggesting that kidney lesions are more serious and require timely clinical treatment, such as elevated urine protein or creatinine.
