LSIL is not inflammation or cancer, it is an acronym that refers to low-grade intraepithelial neoplasia of the cervix. LSIL generally refers to a precancerous lesion. There are two types of lesions: low-grade and high-grade. Low-grade lesions, or mild precancerous lesions, are not a cause for alarm, and can be cured by laser and freezing treatments, as they are still a long way from cervical cancer. However, if such low-grade intraepithelial neoplasia is not treated in time, it may even become cervical cancer once it develops into moderate or high grade. Therefore, if low-grade lesions appear, it is important to treat them promptly and actively to prevent them from developing into moderate or high-grade lesions. If you feel unwell, it is recommended that you go to a regular hospital in time and follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment.
