Whether pulling out roundworms is clean or not can be judged by the patient’s symptoms and laboratory tests.
1. Symptoms: When there are roundworms in the body, patients often manifest nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, abdominal distension, accompanied by loss of appetite, intermittent pain around the umbilicus or epigastric colic. Children may have neuropsychiatric symptoms, such as convulsions, night terrors, teeth grinding, and occasionally heterophilia, and growth disorders may occur in severely infected patients.
If Ascaris lumbricoides are expelled, the above symptoms will be obviously improved, such as children may show less crying, sleep peacefully, appetite and so on.
2. Laboratory examination: If there are no roundworms and roundworm eggs in the stool, it indicates successful deworming.
If roundworm infection occurs, it is recommended to go to regular hospitals for deworming treatment in time to avoid adverse consequences.
