The treatment of traumatic neuroma mainly includes non-surgical treatment and surgical treatment to relieve pain and restore function.
1. Non-surgical treatment: mainly drug treatment, but the efficacy is not clear. Commonly used drugs are injected into the neuroma to induce the death of damaged neurons and achieve the purpose of pain relief.
Injectable drugs commonly used alcohol, vincristine and colchicine, quetiapine, trihexyphenidyl injection, nerve destroying blocking drugs (phenol a glycerol) and so on, need to follow the doctor’s instructions.
2. Surgical treatment: the recurrence rate of neuroma is high after simple resection, and it is often treated by neuroma insertion into bone, neuroma insertion into muscle and other surgical methods.
It is suggested that patients with traumatic neuroma should seek medical treatment in time and under doctor’s guidance, and they should pay attention to regular life and changes in their condition in daily life.
