The HPV test lasts for several years.

The HPV test alone can only be used for one year, which means that it needs to be rechecked after one year. The HPV test is designed to detect the HPV virus, or human papillomavirus, in women. There are high-risk and low-risk types of this virus. Persistent infection with high-risk HPV for more than two years may cause precancerous lesions of the cervix, while low-risk HPV may cause condyloma acuminata. The combined test of TCT and HPV has an accuracy rate of over 95%.
