The human papillomavirus, or HPV. HPV vaccine is primarily for the female population that has not been infected with HPV and is between the ages of 9 and 45.
The HPV vaccine is a human papillomavirus vaccine, also known as the cervical cancer vaccine, which is a preventive vaccine that mainly prevents cervical cancer and other diseases caused by infection with the HPV virus. At present, there are three types of HPV vaccines: bivalent, quadrivalent and nine-valent. Both bivalent and quadrivalent are applicable to women aged 9 to 45 years old, while nine-valent is applicable to women aged 16 to 26 years old.
Contraindications for HPV vaccine: women who are allergic to any of the components of the vaccine, or women who are severely allergic to yeast should not be vaccinated; pregnant and breastfeeding women need to be careful with the vaccine according to the doctor’s guidance.
Vaccination cannot prevent all diseases caused by HPV infection, so regular cervical cancer screening is still needed after vaccination.
