Prevention of intestinal obstruction

The most important prevention of intestinal obstruction is diet, which requires abstaining from indigestible food, such as glutinous rice. Many patients are very prone to obstruction because of the consumption of indigestible glutinous rice and the narrowing of the intestinal canal, which makes it difficult for food to pass through this section of the intestine. If there is a history of previous abdominal surgery or previous obstruction symptoms, eat less and more often and avoid overeating. If there is severe abdominal pain, recurrent abdominal pain or symptoms of vomiting, seek early medical treatment and early intervention.
