Difference between Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin

Hodgkin’s lymphoma and non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, both belong to malignant tumors of the immune system. The differences between them are: First, the incidence rates are different. Hodgkin’s lymphoma accounts for about 30% of all lymphomas, and non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma accounts for about 70% of all lymphomas. Second, the age of onset is different. Hodgkin’s lymphoma is more common in young patients, and non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma is more common in elderly patients. Clinical manifestations are different. Hodgkin’s lymphoma often starts with painless enlargement of lymph nodes, which often appears in the neck, supraclavicular region and armpits, while non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma has more common symptoms of extra-nodal organ invasion, such as invasion of the urinary system, central nervous system and gastrointestinal tract, in addition to superficial lymph node enlargement. Fourth, the treatment methods are different. In addition to radiotherapy, the commonly used chemotherapy regimen for Hodgkin’s lymphoma is ABVD regimen, while the most common regimen for non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma is R-CHOP regimen.
