Adrenal tumors are benign and malignant tumors occurring in the cortex and medulla of the adrenal glands. The cause of adrenal tumors is still unclear, and it may be related to factors such as heredity, environment, endocrine changes, or metastasis of tumors. Adrenal gland is an important endocrine gland in human body, which can secrete hydrocorticoid hormone, glucocorticoid hormone, sex hormone, etc. Therefore, adrenal tumors can be classified into two major categories according to the performance of tumors, which are functional and non-functional, among which functional refers to the tumors with endocrine function, and may cause a class of tumor with change of endocrine function; and non-functional refers to tumors which don’t cause a change of endocrine function. The detailed classification of adrenal tumors is complicated, and patients diagnosed with adrenal tumors should also actively cooperate with physicians for treatment to avoid delaying the condition.
