What does geriatric syndrome mean?

Geriatric diseases are old age, coexistence of multiple diseases, multiple diseases of multiple systems and organs, with intellectual and motor dysfunction, requiring specialized human care. Geriatric syndromes, on the other hand, are caused by multiple diseases or multiple causes, resulting in different clinical manifestations or problems in the elderly. Common geriatric syndromes include abnormal gait, easy falls, visual impairment, hearing impairment, sleep disorders, dizziness, headache, pain, incontinence, constipation, dementia, memory loss, depression, anxiety, Parkinson’s disease, malnutrition, debility, and multiple medications in the elderly.
