Which statin has fewer side effects

There are no statins with fewer side effects; commonly used statins are atorvastatin and resuvastatin. The main side effect of these statins is that they can cause elevated muscle enzymes and in severe cases, myalgia.
Atorvastatin calcium tablets are used to treat hypercholesterolemia and coronary heart disease. Its side effects can cause elevation of muscle enzymes, skeletal muscle pain, muscle fatigue, neck pain, and joint swelling. It is contraindicated in patients with active liver disease, which can include unexplained persistent elevations of hepatic aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and/or alanine aminotransferase (ALT).
Rosuvastatin Calcium Tablets for primary hypercholesterolemia or mixed dyslipidemia that is not adequately controlled by dietary control and other non-pharmacological treatments. Its common side effects are myalgia, rare myopathy and rhabdomyolysis. It is contraindicated in patients with severe renal impairment (creatinine clearance <30mL/min).
There are no statins with few side effects, and it is recommended to use them under the supervision of a doctor rather than self-medicating to avoid delays or side effects.
