There is no up-to-date treatment technology for myopia, which can be treated by general treatment, medication (e.g. atropine) and surgery.
1. General treatment: Myopia can be corrected by wearing eyeglasses to correct the refractive error, commonly used eyeglasses include frame glasses, corneal contact lenses, keratoplasty lenses and so on.
2. Medication: Some studies report that low concentration atropine eye drops can control the progression of myopia in children, but it is not included in the guideline recommendation.
3. Surgery: Patients over 18 years old with stable refractive power can have their myopia corrected by laser corneal refractive surgery, while patients with high myopia who are not suitable for laser surgery can be treated by IOL implantation.
It is recommended that myopic patients go to the hospital in time and choose the appropriate treatment under the guidance of physicians.
